Conversations with a 32 months old boy

Seems like ages since my last post. Oops! Here's a recent pic of our little boy   =)

He is growing up real fast! Here's some interesting conversational moments:

Scenario 1:
Daddy & Son were happily playing in the room when Little Fella spotted an insect...... (those little bugs that are attracted to lights bulb..)

Son:  Look Daddy! An insect! ( expecting daddy to go and catch it )

Dad:  Yes son? ( walked over and stare at the insect intentionally, expecting son to run off for a tissue (as usual) and to pass it to daddy for "the catch".

Son:   < still happily playing with the toy cars and wanted daddy to rejoin him soon >

Son:  Daddy, catch it with your (bare) hands!

Dad:  No, I don't want to catch it with my (bare) hands. Can I have a piece of tissue please?

Son:   < pondered for three seconds between getting the tissue or to continue playing >

Son:  Daddy, you can get the tissue on your own!

Son:  < continue to play with his toy cars >

Dad:  .....

Dad:  < stunned by son's replies >

Conclusion: Your kids will know and weigh their options before they turn three...

Scenario 2:
Mummy and Son were in the living room with the little boy busy playing with his toys as usual. It was a hot and humid day and Mummy was seating on the sofa complaining about the weather...

Mom:   Aaaragh! I can't stand (the weather)!

Son:    Mummy what happened?

Son:    < thought Mummy can't "stand" as in "standing up">

Son:    < proceeded to pull mummy's hand >

Son:   Mummy can you try (to stand up)?

Mom:  < laughing away and trying to explain the differences... >

Son:   Mummy, can you try your best (to stand up)?

Dad:   < In the kitchen having a drink and happen to overhear the conversation >

Dad:   HaHaHaHaHa!

Conclusion: Your kids will show genuine concerns for you when they are young, provided they know what is happening!

Remember this post?

Anyone needs a child model?

Well, here's an updated version of Little Fella taken when he was 25 months.

Still as charming as ever?     =)

Another year older (for daddy)

Cant believe that this is only the first post of 2013........

Really have to "buck up"!

Well better late than never! Here's some pics of Daddy's birthday 2012 lunch venue for a start :

Where is this place, you might ask?

Location is a bit remote so having a car is a plus, lovely surroundings with nice interior furnishings although the food is only average and quite pricey. Overall still worth a visit if you are looking for something different or are into collectibles/retro furnishings.

For me, its who's accompanying me that matters     =)

My Boy My Joy

I was reminded of the reason for getting a DSLR yesterday.

For this:

Can you tell that he just had a new haircut?

The sides and back were given a neat trim while the front was left untouched.

Look! Got style! Heez....

And not forgetting the cheeky version:

Alright alright, I'm sure by now you should know that I'm just a proud daddy who can't stop taking pictures of my boy and finding reasons to have it posted in the blog.

Can't help that I have a willing and obliging model. Ha!   =)

Egg-tivities! =)

Last week was the turn for the alphabet E to be introduced to Little Fella.

As Tuesday was Labour day and a public holiday, Daddy was around to do "egg-tivities" with Little Fella and Mummy.

Its E for Egg on Tuesday.

Mummy with her "course materials"....

Little Fella paying attention to Mummy and her instructions.

Tata! Subjects for the day, after a 'makeover"
Little Fella enjoying the "hands-on" session

Mummy guiding along and showing the way.

Learning the difference between egg yolk and egg white...

Look at my hand!

Er... Daddy, are you going to clean my hand for me?

Thank you Mummy, it sure was fun for Little Fella and Daddy!      =)

Snippets of Little Fella at Home

Been snapping pictures at random recently in the hope of capturing Little Fella going about with his normal activities at home. Sometime it need not be the "perfect" settings or moments in order for you to go and grab your camera and start taking pictures. Just "shoot" away at your convenience and you may be pleasantly surprise at the end results.....

Happily playing with his "vehicle" collection
Hello daddy, are you taking pictures of me?

He always like to carry his toys around in this manner, three at one go.....

Getting on all fours to search for his toys under the table/sofa etc

Bending over and looking at his toys in this manner...

Sitting on the sofa and watching his shows intently like a big boy....

Exploring the Ipad apps like a pro.....

Exploring handphones like a pro...

Being cheeky here by purposely adjusting the volume of the player and waiting for "response"

and lastly, the natural cheeky expression. Priceless!

So hey, feel free to take pictures of your little ones anytime and everytime. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.        =)

Creating Fun

On a routine afternoon at home with everyone itching for a bit of fun....

Our boy managed to lay his hands onto something........

Mummy's Hat!    =)

Little Fella was excited to "play" with something different and Daddy was excited at the presented photo opportunity.

A few snaps and some chuckles later, Daddy managed to capture these on camera:

Not bad for a routine afternoon.    =)

Anyone needs a child model?

Being a shamelessly proud daddy, I must say that my boy rocks the " I-must-not-smile-and-look-straight-at-you-in-the-eye-while-continuing-to-act-cool" model look.

So what do you say?
