Underwater World

As Little Fella has been showing interest in fishes recently, we decided to bring him to a place where there will be fishes aplenty for him to see, the UnderWater World at Sentosa.

The place has more or less remained the same since I last visited the place with Drama Mama about a decade ago (wow! time really flies..)

Entrance fee is charged at $25.90 per adult and children below the age of three get to go in for free. With the arrary of newer attractions in place, I think its high time for Underwater World to undergo a revamp of its own.

Perhaps the addition of the Dolphin Lagoon is their way moving forward? The Dolphin Lagoon is intergrated beside Underwater World and one can get to visit both venues with a single entrance fee.

The main highlights for the Dolphin Lagoon will be its' shows at selected time intervals. We managed to catch the 11am show prior to making our way to the Underwater World.

Think overall the seal lions have more performances than the dolphins! We were seated right at the front row and Little Fella gets to have a close look at the seal lions in action. He clapped his hands together with the audience at certain times it was also the first time that he had seen seal lions and big fishes (dolpins) up-close.

Photo opportunities was limited at the Underwater World due to its dimly lit surroundings, thick unflattering aquarium glasses, tourists jostling for space and the general "clutter-ness" of too many fishes swiming all over the place. But hey, its always the experiences that matter most and good photo opportunities will always be a bonus.( some self-consoling here)

Overall, I would say its still a good experience and exposure for our little boy and at the very least, he get a change in environment and did something different for a morning.     =)
